Sorry I didn't write last week, it's been a rough week for me. Unfortunately I had to go back home for a doctor's appointment and was put into a cast for my hand which I had hurt a week before. This will, however, be my last week writing to you all since I had to get surgery on my hand and will no longer be playing this season. As for this past week, though, we had a game on Friday and lost, but it was definitely worth playing. One good thing that came from the week was me making athlete of the week, which made me happy.
As for classes, its been sort of rough. I haven't been able to do much. Note taking and test taking had been vary hard. Luckily my school is very accommodating and has helped me out. Other than those few things not much has gone on.
I hope you all have great seasons and do well in classes, hopefully they will be able to find someone else to write in my place.

Karl Tooren's Men's Soccer Student-Athlete Blog #1
Hey guys!
So, this is my first blog and not a lot has seemed to really been going on right now. It's been pretty much just soccer and school. Our season has been a bit of a rough one. We have been trying to keep a full team and trying to keep ourselves healthy. But for some reason the cards seem to always be dealt against us. We have been plagued with some pretty serious injuries to some key players. It has been a bit of a stressful week playing our last couple games with almost minimal players, but we are keeping strong and together. Hopefully for us things pick up and get better.
As far as classes go, it seems it's just reading after reading, homework after homework and test after test. Sometimes it gets hard to tell one day from another. One good thing though, it definitely helps with time management. It always keeps me and my teammates on our feet. It is hard though, missing classes for games and not being in class to see what is being taught...but that's the life of a student-athlete.
I guess that's all for now, like I said, not much has happened.
So until next time, I hope everyone has a good and safe week and for all the athletes, I hope it's an injury free one.
