When my alarm went off at 4:25am Monday morning, I was reminded of how much sleep I didn’t get last week, and I realized that this week was going to be the same…if not worse. We only had one game last week, but I still felt the most tired out of any week of practice so far. Coach even gave us Saturday off and I didn’t even have to work, but come Sunday I still didn’t feel rejuvenated. My weekend just flew by so fast I didn’t have time to recover.
On Friday night the team got a chance to spend some quality time together. We had a slumber party at Abby’s parents’ house in Wentzville. It was a lot of fun and we definitely needed it.
Then Saturday I spent a good portion of the day cleaning my house. I scrubbed every room and even got out my fall/winter clothes, that’s how intense my cleaning day was. I also made a big pot of chili and it was delicious. I’m pretty sure I even fell asleep before nine that night. But I got up early Sunday morning to go to work at PetSmart, and when I got home from work I spent the rest of the day doing homework. I only took one short break to bake some cookies, which were also delicious.
I have a lot of papers due this week but I still hope the next few days go by as fast as the weekend did. I’m excited for Saturday because Homecoming is this weekend, and I want to go check out the carnival that’s coming. Plus, a friend of mine from high school is coming down with his wife and their daughter to watch some volleyball and go to the zoo with my boyfriend and me. It should be a nice weekend; I just have to make it that far.
Peace,
