Michael Horn's Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete Blog #4

The past week has had many positives. First, we had a strong performance at the Memphis Twilight race and beat several Division I schools. Zack Kassman, one of my teammates, set a new school record in the 8K, running a time of 26:37. I am very proud of Zack and the rest of our team as we have continued growing and improving. I did not run a very good race, but I will move on and run great in Louisville this weekend. Second, this past Thursday I was able to spend some time with the teens at my church in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. It was awesome to take some time out in order to praise the Lord and express my love for Him. I was able to catch up with some friends and see how their lives are going.

On Friday, my friend TJ and I won the FAB Lip Sync competition for the third straight year. We had a blast and were entertained thoroughly by the other performers. Several of my friends competed in front of the largest crowd for the event I have seen in my three years at Fontbonne. The night was unbelievable, and I was also fortunate enough to see two of my friends from Truman State who came down to watch our performance. On another note, the school week went well as classes are slowing down somewhat. Anyway, I am looking forward to a new week and a wonderful opportunity on Saturday in Louisville.
