Jamie Hebron's Softball Student-Athlete Blog #4

Hello again! Nice to see we made it through another week. It's one of those nights again. The nights when you are so tired you just want to go to bed, but you can't because there are too many things you need to get done before you can go to sleep.

It's been a crazy, but fulfilling day for me. Tonight we had a double header against Illinois College and it was a great game! It was not only fun and we won, but it was a close game so it was great to see the girls rise up to the challenge. I especially want to give a shout out to my fellow senior, Cristi, who had the game winning hit. She was down on herself for missing a play at home, but came right back out bottom of the 7th with the score tied, 9-9, two people on base, one out and hits a bomb to right field. She really deserved a great hit, and she did an awesome job. I also want to shout out to my girl Angie who had a grand slam in the game, it was an awesome hit.

It was a great game and almost my whole family was there cheering me on, and we went out to eat after the game and had a great time with them. It was awesome to spend time with my family, especially my two younger sisters!

So upon arriving back at my dorm from the game, my first and only desire was to curl up in my bed and go to sleep. I know it sounds ridiculous because it's only 8:00, but I'm getting old and these double headers really wear on my body. I knew I couldn't go to bed, so I motivated myself to shower and write this blog. I also have dishes in the sink and will be washing them before I go to bed. I think that's enough to say I'm good for the night. Luckily I don't have any homework due tomorrow, but I really should try to work on some bigger projects I keep putting off.

So lets recap my crazy life right now for those of you who haven't been keeping up and those of you (like myself) who tend to forget. 1. I'm a senior in College, graduating in like nine weeks 2. We are in the middle of our crazy softball season, traveling and missing classes for games. 3. I am in the middle of deciding between University of Illinois or University of Missouri for vet school 4. I am fundraising for my missions trip to Guatemala that I will be leaving for the DAY AFTER graduating 5. I am trying to make plans for my graduation party 6. I'm trying to persuade my parents into getting me a dog for graduation. I think that's about it. I am so blessed to live the life I do and I wouldn't change one bit of it!

We have a tournament in Springfield this weekend and I'm definitely looking forward to it because my boyfriend is coming to watch on Friday and my best friend is coming to watch on Saturday. WHHOOO!! If you're around, you should come too! I hope you have a blessed week, I'm going to finish my dishes and go to BED!
