Chris Claypool's Men's Tennis Student-Athlete Blog #2

Quite a bit has happened since I last wrote. In terms of tennis, it has picked up quite a bit with conference play starting. We've had three conference matches in which we've been lucky enough to win all three of them.

We traveled to Principia last Thursday, which is a decently long drive for us. Normally I'll relax on the van ride up there by listening to music, sleeping or just hanging out with the rest of the guys on the team. This time; however, I had a test the next day in my Human Biology class. Now, normally for a test like this I would've began studying a day or two in advance, but I had all sorts of stuff going on that needed my attention including other papers, tests, tennis matches and practice. So I studied all the way up there, played, and then studied all the way back. Due to the distance we had to travel, it wasn't until nearly 11pm that I was back, showered and in the library. Needless to say I was "dead" the next day. The only thing that kept me going was knowing that Easter Break would start as soon as I was done with my test.

I was able to go home the next day and was able to spend a few days relaxing, especially since we had this past Monday off due to the break. I got back to school yesterday afternoon as we had practice at 5. After practice, I grabbed some food and headed right back up to the library to begin practicing a speech I was due to give today. It went alright and now my focus has turned to our match today against Concordia Seminary. Thankfully, I'll be able to relax after this one as I don't have anything school-wise until Thursday.

So until next time...Hope everyone else has an enjoyable week as the weather has finally come around!
